Ian leaves the heroes to die, and despair takes over. In a fit of rage, Ian points a gun at Ben and asks for the next clue, while Ben says it's the end of the road. The treasure room is opened, but alas, the treasure moved. As they reach the treasure room, the mood is palpable. But the treasure is so close, and Ian forces them on. Catastrophe strikes! One of Ian's henchman is lost to the great void. Together, our heroes, Ian's gang, and Patrick descend into the crypts below Trinity Church. He tries to slime through Ian, inferring the last clue is right at their precise location, but Ian calls Ben's bluff! Patrick has been taken hostage! With this revelation, Ben must reveal the true location of the treasure - Trinity Church. Ben has escaped custody and been driven to Ian's location, but now, he must hold his end of the bargain. Abigail and Reilly make a sneaky deal with Ian to recover Ben for the next clue, and Ian's unlimited resources pull through. Ben is captured by the FBI, and the treasure hunt is over. However, the trio has been caught up by Ian's goons, and the Declaration is lost. At exactly 2:22, the sun casts a light on a freemasonic brick with some sort of 3d xray glasses in them, and Benjamin is off. But! With Ian hot on their heels, and the FBI seeking blood, the operation is more dangerous than ever. Now, Ian and our trio of heroes must race to the Liberty Bell. By bribing this child, he also find the clue. There, Reilly pays a child to write down letters for a dollar. After reaching Patricks house, they examine the Declaration to find the next clue in the Silence Dogood letters. After stealing the fucking DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE, the gang is joined by a quirky scientist by the name of Abigail. What Ben once thought was unthinkable is now his only option. To seek the next clue, they must steal.The Declaration Of Independence. Ben and Reilly are betrayed by Ian, kicking off a country spanning adventure.
Where did they secure the funding for this venture? Who cares? At last! The Charlotte has been found! But.where is the treasure? It's simply another clue. First, Nick Cage and his cohorts roll into the cold arctic breeze in some very expensive catmobiles to find an old ship that they actually have no clue of it's location. Each increasingly ridiculous clue leads to an even more ridiculous situation, leading to the climax in the final 10 minutes of the movie. At one point in the movie, Patrick says to his son Ben, "And that clue will lead to another clue! Like it always does!" But this is what makes National Treasure great. National Treasure is a pure adventure movie.

There is something so joyous about this movie that I cannot describe, but in the following text, I will attempt to do so. National Treasure, starring Nicholas Cage. With my girlfriend in tow, we turned on netflix, and there it was. This is the desire to watch National Treasure (1 or 2). This force is so unmovingly powerful that I can do nothing but to succumb to it. Most of the time, it's Indiana Jones, or Mummy, but once a year, something hits me. Every once in a while, I get an unresistable craving to watch a treasure hunting movie.
